Indicators and automated strategies can generate losing signals and losing trades. Automated strategies may submit, modify, or exit orders according to programmed rules. Connectivity, configuration, market conditions, slippage, latency, data quality, and user settings can affect results. Test software in simulation before live use.

Test in Simulation First

SIT strongly recommends testing every indicator and automated strategy in simulation before using it with real money. Simulation lets you learn the settings, watch how signals and orders behave, and confirm that everything works on your own platform and data. Simulated trading does not represent actual trading, and live results can differ because of slippage, liquidity, latency, and order execution.
